First Church also is home to the Village Nursery School, which it founded.

- Food pantries, especially one sponsored by LUM at St. John’s Episcopal Church
- Bread of Life: Day-old bread collected for LUM food pantry.
- Lucille Raines House in Indianapolis for women recovering from substance abuse
- The YWCA Women's Shelter.
